Travis Kelce has denied reports that he donated $3.3million (£2.6m) to transform a Kansas City house into a facility for homeless youth.
The Chiefs tight end addressed the "false claims" on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast.
Reports last month suggested Kelce had partnered with charity Foster Love to create a 6,500-square foot property with six bedrooms and various amenities for young homeless people.
The story gained significant traction online and was picked up by several prominent media outlets, with ESPN's Pat McAfee even praising Kelce for the supposed gesture.

However, speaking on his podcast, Kelce made it clear there was no truth to the story.
"I gotta make a little statement in the 'don't believe everything you read kids category'. A nice realm that you see online," the Kansas City star said.
"Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not."

ReutersKelce declined to specifically address the donation story, stating: "I'm not even going to talk about it specifically. I don't want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.
"If you ever want to know exactly what I'm doing in the community, just go to 87 and Running. We're always trying to get out there and get in the Kansas City communities and the Cleveland community."
He added: "But you know, this time, I wasn't doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or all the outlets posting this AI stuff so I just wanted to set the record straight."

Prior to learning the reports were false, McAfee had enthusiastically praised Kelce on his ESPN show.
