Costica Prisecaru and Sebastian Rechinu secured a straightforward victory in Romania

A controversial mixed martial arts event in Romania has sparked outrage after featuring two male fighters competing against a team of three women.

The intergender bout was organised by Real Xtreme Fighting (RXF), pitting male fighters Costica Prisecaru and Sebastian Rechinu against a trio of female opponents.

In the unusual matchup, the female fighters wore protective headguards, while their male counterparts competed without such equipment.

The contest, which featured full-contact fighting with kicks and punches, has drawn widespread criticism across social media platforms.

The female team consisted of social media personalities Alicia Bonita, Denisa Costea and Maria Adriana, all of whom have substantial Instagram followings.

Bonita, who also creates content on OnlyFans, entered the cage alongside her teammates dressed in white.

The trio performed a choreographed dance routine, twerking for the cameras before the fight began.

Their opponents, Prisecaru and Rechinu, faced them in what would become an intense physical confrontation.

The match featured unrestricted combat, with both sides exchanging fierce kicks and punches throughout the bout.

The male duo emerged victorious, with Prisecaru and Rechinu winning the contest decisively.

During the post-fight celebrations, Maria Adriana attempted to attack Rechinu and had to be restrained by security staff.

Adriana later took to Instagram with a defiant message, writing: "The difference is that I stayed standing. Don't underestimate women anymore and don't denigrate them just because you're men."

She added: "You have nothing extra. It hurts the face again."

"Why is this allowed?" questioned one fight fan on social media.

Another commenter wrote: "This is disgusting. How does something like this get sanctioned?!"

"This just made me sad," posted a third user.

Kickboxer and self-proclaimed misogynist influencer Andrew Tate responded with: "Welcome to Romania!" followed by a smiley face.

One critic questioned the matchup's fairness, writing: "Why not 1 normal guy 3 professional women fighters, those chicks prob just got their nails done."

This was not RXF's first venture into intergender combat sports.

The promotion company staged a similar event last year, which featured two women fighting against one man.

That event also generated significant controversy online, though it did find some supporters among viewers.

"This definitely needs to be a new sport," wrote one fan of the format.

Another viewer appeared to treat it as entertainment, commenting: "This is actual comedy."
