The teenager has been the talk of the darts world over the past few weeks amid his sensational displays

Luke Littler has admitted he finds being interviewed 'very boring' sometimes as the darts star prepares for his Premier League clash with Rob Cross on Thursday.

The 17-year-old will go into the contest full of confidence after impressing on his debut in the competition last week.

Littler beat Luke Humphries 6-2, getting the better of the world No 1 for the second time in as many weeks.

And though he lost to Michael Smith, he still did enough to show he deserves to play with the biggest and best players on the planet.

Littler has now opened up ahead of Thursday's showdown with Cross in Berlin.

And the teenager, when quizzed on how he finds being interviewed, complained it can be 'boring' for him.

“I have and I haven’t. It does get very boring!” he said.

Littler is happy with his current performances ahead of his match with Cross, believing he's done enough to justify his Premier League selection.

The teenager added: "I am just happy with how I have been playing.

“The Worlds was a big step up but I have proved I can play with the best and that is why I have got my shot in the Premier League.

“It was good to win on my debut (in Bahrain) and obviously be the youngest person to hit a nine-darter as well.

“But overall it was just match practice for the Premier League, as was Holland.

"Now we are kicking on with the Premier League. I know I have got the ability to beat the best.”

Littler was relatively unknown just a few weeks ago.

But the Briton is now a household name as a result of his terrific performances.

Littler is relaxed over the attention he now receives, however, and has vowed to stay grounded as he looks to continue his development.

“It’s just been crazy but I’ve just been living how I have been doing – chilling when I have time off but when I’m at my darts events, being fully focused," he continued.

“That’s what I have always done. I have always been myself and keep myself to myself.”

Cross, meanwhile, harbours no bad feelings towards Littler despite the youngster stealing the spotlight.
