Luke Littler's loss to Luke Humphries in the World Darts Championship final has seen rival football fans point at one another for being the real reason the teenager was unable to get the job done.
Littler has become quite the celebrity due to his exploits at the Alexandra Palace over the festive season.
The 16-year-old embarked on a fairytale run to the final of the World Darts Championship, beating two former world champions in the process.
His popularity soon soared among the general public as he became an instant fan favourite.

And his success transcended sports as footballers from up and down the Premier League soon began to show their support.
Arsenal duo Aaron Ramsdale and Declan Rice asked for a selfie with the darts sensation after his third-round win over Matt Campbell.
Littler was also a guest in James Maddison's box for Tottenham's win over Bournemouth on New Year's Eve with the midfielder also present for the final on Wednesday night.
The World Championship runner-up - a boyhood Manchester United fan - has also been invited by the Red Devils to attend their game against Tottenham later this month.
But Littler's loss to Humphries in the final has seen rival football fans blame one another for inflicting their "curse" on the teenager.
One fan mocked: "Littler would of won if he wasn't a united fan."Another joked along with a picture of Littler and Maddison together:
"Naah that spursy curse is real no wonder Luke Littler lost."
A third wrote: "Everybody mentioning that Littler lost because he went to spurs and arsenal ground it's most likely he lost from 4-2 because he's a warrington fan."
