Luke Littler won't be joining darts' biggest stars in playing the Cazoo Masters this weekend.

Darts fans will have to wait until next week to see Luke Littler back in action as the teenage sensation is not in the field to play the Cazoo Masters this weekend.

Littler has become the biggest name in darts since his historic run to the World Championship final in January.

He's helped bring in a bunch of new viewers to the sport with over 4.8million people tuning in to watch his final against Luke Humphries, making it the most-watched non-football sports event in Sky Sports history.

It didn't take long for Littler to win his first PDC senior title as he defeated Michael van Gerwen in the final of the Bahrain Masters 8-5.

The darts icon got his revenge the following week at the Dutch Masters with Littler going on to make his Premier League debut this week.

He got the better of world champion Humphries in his opening match before narrowly losing to Michael Smith in his semi-final.

Littler had a match at double 15 to progress to the final, but missed with Smith making no mistake with a final checkout of 55.

The PDC circuit has a quick turnaround as the best players on tour head to Milton Keynes for the Cazoo Masters.

But Littler isn't in the field for the event as the group was set following the end of the World Championships.

The Cazoo Masters features the world's top 24-ranked players and Littler was just outside the cut-off at that point.

He was ranked 31st in the world after his run to the World Championship final and would have shot up to ninth had he beaten Humphries in the battle for the title.

Gerwyn Price has pulled out of the event and has been replaced by Daryl Gurney, who currently sits 26th in the rankings.

Littler was scheduled to play 14-year-old Joseph Westby in the Junior Darts Corporation's Super 16 final on Sunday.

But the World Championship runner-up has decided to withdraw from the event following his busy start to life on the pro tour.

He's now set for a few days off before competing in his second Premier League evening next week in Berlin.

Littler was delighted with his debut in dart's showpiece event on Thursday, writing on X: "Proud to make my Premier League debut. Plenty more to come over the next few weeks."

His display put him third in the standings with an incredible average of 103 and the biggest checkout percentage of all eight players.

The top four players in the Premier League after 16 events will advance to the play-offs at the end of May.
