Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans has been widely criticised as the 'worst halftime show ever' despite playing his most controversial track yet.
The Grammy-winning rapper, 37, failed to impress fans during Sunday's showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
The performance came just days after his recent Grammy triumphs, where he claimed both song and record of the year awards.
Lamar was introduced by Samuel L. Jackson before launching into a medley of his hits.

The LA native began his performance atop a car, sporting a blue and white jacket paired with blue jeans for the occasion.
The rapper was accompanied by a crew of backup dancers throughout his performance.
However, not everyone was impressed - not least the crowd inside the Superdome, who were largely silent throughout the performance.
One fan watching on said: "Kendrick Lamar says "turn this TV off" before ending his Super Bowl halftime performance. He should have told us that at the beginning of the performance."
Another wrote on social media: "Kendrick Lamar's superbowl halftime show sucks."
A third said: "That was the worst halftime show ever."
While another joked: "Kendrick Lamars got more yards walking during his performance than the Chiefs offense did in the first half."

There was controversy surrounding Lamar's performance centred on his hit track "Not Like Us", which sparked a legal battle with Drake.
The song, which became a viral sensation last summer, includes accusations against the Canadian rapper and refers to him as a "certified paedophile".
Drake has since filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the track.
TMZ had previously reported that the nature of Lamar's halftime show was uncertain amid ongoing legal meetings.

"He won't back down," a source told The US Sun regarding Lamar performing the track.
Speaking ahead of the performance, Lamar discussed his vision for the historic show.
"Being in the now and being just locked-in to how I feel and the energy I have now, that's the L.A. energy for me," he said at an Apple Music press conference.
The performance marked a milestone as Lamar became the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
"It puts the culture at the forefront, where it needs to be and not minimized to just a catchy song or verse," he remarked.

Fresh off releasing his highly-acclaimed album GNX, Lamar is preparing for his next venture.
The rapper will embark on the Grand National Tour alongside former Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate SZA.
The tour begins on 19 April in Minneapolis and concludes on 18 June in Washington, D.C.
"I'm honoured to be next to her talent," Lamar said of SZA.
The Super Bowl performance also featured Louisiana artists, with Jon Batiste performing the national anthem and Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle delivering America the Beautiful.
