The WWE legend faced a hostile reception in Los Angeles

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan looked shaken on stage after he faced a hostile reception from more than 17,000 fans during WWE's historic Netflix debut in Los Angeles.

The 71-year-old star made a surprise appearance at Monday Night Raw at the Intuit Dome, where he was met with overwhelming boos from the crowd.

The negative reaction came as Hogan attempted to promote his Real American Beer brand, which has recently partnered with WWE.

What was meant to be a celebratory moment marking WWE's new streaming era instead turned into an uncomfortable scene, as fans made their feelings clear about the former world champion's presence.

Dressed in a tank top promoting his beer brand, Hogan entered the arena to his signature "Real American" theme song alongside his longtime manager Jimmy Hart.

The WWE Hall of Famer attempted to win over the crowd by praising them as his greatest tag team partner.

"You, the fans, have been my greatest tag team partner because you guys have stuck with me through thick and thin, dudes," Hogan told the hostile audience.

He then pivoted to promoting his new business venture: "I got a new tag team partner right now. I got Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer that I've teamed up with."

The crowd's negative reaction only intensified throughout his speech.

WWE announced a multi-year partnership with Hogan's Real American Beer brand just hours before the Netflix debut.

The beer company's logo was prominently displayed on the ring mat throughout the show, marking a significant business venture between WWE and their former champion.

"I'm thrilled to bring Real American Beer into the ring with WWE. Together, we're bringing that pride to America, one beer, one match at a time, brother!" Hogan said in a press release.

The partnership represents Hogan's first business collaboration with WWE since his retirement from in-ring competition.

The wrestling icon appeared visibly shaken by the hostile reception, struggling to deliver his rehearsed promotional speech.

Even when Hogan attempted to reference beloved WWE legends like Randy Savage and Andre the Giant, the crowd's negative reaction persisted.

The former 12-time world champion stuttered over his words as he tried to complete his segment about WWE's partnership with Netflix.

"The greatest partner the WWE has ever had, is the fact that tonight, we're making history, and the WWE has tag teamed up with Netflix, the greatest tag team partner of all time," Hogan managed to say before leaving the stage.

The unexpected response clearly threw the veteran performer, who appeared uncomfortable throughout the segment.

The hostile reception follows years of controversy surrounding the wrestling icon.

Hogan was removed from WWE's Hall of Fame in 2015 after a video surfaced showing him using racial slurs, including the n-word.

Though reinstated in 2018, many WWE superstars were reportedly unhappy with his apology, which focused more on being careful around cameras than addressing the content of his remarks.

More recently, Hogan has become a celebrity endorser for Donald Trump's successful presidential campaign.
