Darren Webster refused to shake hands with Dutchman Ron Meulenkamp after losing in the MODUS Super Series clash.

Darren Webster has accused Ron Meulenkamp of 'stinking up the stage' with his 'farts' during their feisty MODUS Super Series clash on Thursday.

The feeder darts series features non-PDC Tour Card holders and has featured well-known names over the years.

Fallon Sherrock, Martin Adams and Kevin Painter are amongh the recognisable names to have competed in the Super Series.

This year's competition is in the 13th week with two-time PDC World Championship quarter-finalist Webster taking on Meulenkamp on Thursday evening.

Webster had raced to a 3-0 lead and looked set to record a victory for two valuable points.

But his opponent incredibly rallied back to win 4-3 and there was seemingly bad blood between the pair afterwards.

Webster appeared angered by Meulenkamp and refused to shake his opponent's hand after the Dutchman threw his match-winning dart.

In the prior leg, Meulenkamp was fired up after hitting double 16 to forced a deciding leg and the pair bumped fists in an apparent show of respect.

But that respect had seemingly disappeared after the match with Webster venting his frustration on social media in a now-deleted Facebook post.

He wrote on Facebook: "Well when you play a guy who farts and stinks the stage out and denies it then kick you when your [sic] playing the stall every throw because they are s*** good luck for the future but I'm not interested rant over."

The 55-year-old then replied to a comment on the original post, adding: "He was a k**b, end of."

Webster has since downplayed his bust-up with Meulenkamp with a new post on Facebook.

Along with a mocked up picture of a man in a hazmat suit, Webster wrote: "Don’t the media make mountains out of molehills but one thing I know is that I am ready for tonight plus.

"Me and Ron will probably get on great tonight all tune in tonight from 10pm on YouTube it’s going to be a stinker lol.

"It's not the first time flatulence on stage has caused issues in the sport with Gary Anderson famously forced to deny farting at the Grand Slam of Darts in 2018.

"If the boy thinks I've farted he's 1010% wrong. I swear on my children's lives that it was not my fault," he said.

"You can put your finger up my a*** there is no smell there.

"I had a bad stomach once on stage before and admitted it. So I'm not going to lie about farting on stage.

"Every time I walked past there was a waft of rotten eggs so that's why I was thinking it was him. I thought he had a sh**. I thought he had farted on stage.

"It was bad. It was a stink, then he started to play better and I thought he must have needed to get some wind out.

"If somebody has done that they need to see a doctor. Seemingly he says it was me but I would admit it."
