BBC rugby pundit Danika Priim has stepped down from her role as Rugby Football League vice-president after being charged with sexual assault.
The former England player, who was elected as RFL vice-president in September 2024, left her position on Thursday following the emergence of serious allegations against her.
The 40-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Horsforth Cricket Club in West Yorkshire in July 2022.
Priim played rugby league for England, Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos women before retiring in 2021.

The charge alleges Priim "intentionally touched a woman aged 16 or over" at the cricket club when the woman did not consent.

Prosecutors state Priim "did not reasonably believe" the alleged victim was consenting at the time of the incident.
The alleged assault took place at Horsforth Cricket Club in West Yorkshire on July 22, 2022.

In a statement, the Rugby Football League said: "The Rugby Football League can confirm that it has been agreed that Danika Priim will voluntarily stand down from her role as RFL vice-president whilst ongoing legal proceedings take place."
The governing body added: "The Rugby Football League will be making no further comment until completion of the legal proceedings."

Priim appeared before Leeds magistrates' court last week, where no pleas were entered.
