The 30-year-old has now won her second Olympic medal after previously winning silver in Tokyo three years ago

Emily Campbell has revealed her Olympic-themed hairstyle took three hours after she claimed bronze in the weightlifting on Sunday.

The 30-year-old went into the event in Paris hoping to do one better than in Tokyo, where she claimed silver.

Campbell ultimately had to settle for bronze, with the veteran securing Great Britain's final medal of the games in the +81kg weightlifting.

Britain are set to leave France with 65 medals to their name, one more than they won in the last Olympics in Japan.

And she's now revealed that it took three hours to put together.

Speaking to the BBC, she said: "It took a good three hours yesterday! All the media has been speaking about is my hair, so I had to come out with a showstopper."

And she says she's proud of the achievement, hailing her rivals and the high standard on show in the process.

"The field today was a lot tougher than what it was in Tokyo," she admitted. "The standard was so high and I had to pull it out of the bag.
