The England international hit back on social media after missing his side's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was reportedly made aware of Jadon Sancho's statement on the way back from London on Sunday evening.
The England international missed his side's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, with Ten Hag saying: "Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him.
"You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected."
Sancho then responded by releasing a statement implying his manager was wrong.
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag could punish Jadon Sancho for his comments

"Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is (sic) completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week," he retorted.
"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, l've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
"All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.
"I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and (am) grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge.
"I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!"
Now, according to ESPN, Ten Hag was made aware of Sancho's statement.
But the Dutchman opted against clarifying his comments and stands by what he said.
Ten Hag is said to feel he was 'clear on his reasons' for dropping the 23-year-old, who has struggled ever since his move to Old Trafford two years ago.
And the 53-year-old also feels that, based on Sancho's training performances, he doesn't warrant a place in the squad.
Sancho could now face disciplinary action, with Ten Hag stamping his authority on the squad ever since his appointment last year.
Cristiano Ronaldo spoke out against Ten Hag in an interview with Piers Morgan.
The United boss took a dim view of that and, shortly after, it was announced the forward would be leaving by 'mutual consent'.
Ten Hag has also penalised Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho for being late in the past.
And Sancho is now facing a huge fight to regain his place in the United side, having made just three appearances so far this season.
United legend Rio Ferdinand, meanwhile, thinks Sancho will either be frozen out or leave the club for Saudi Arabia.
“There’s no way Jadon is putting out a statement like that if he hasn’t in his own eyes performed well," he said on his YouTube channel.
“That’s the difference as well. On his chart, Jadon [might think] – ‘I’ve trained alright’, but the manager might have a different standard.
“There’s two ways this ends.
"There’s only one window open now and that’s Saudi.
"Or you’re on the bench or not getting in the squad for the rest of the season.”
