Rory McIlroy has secured his second victory in a week after winning a heated planning battle at his £9million Surrey estate.
The Northern Irish golf sensation, 35, has been granted 'very special' permission to install a heat pump for his outdoor swimming pool at his home on the Wentworth estate.
The triumph comes just days after McIlroy's sensational victory at Augusta in a tense play-off against Justin Rose on the 18th green.
Runnymede borough council initially deemed the plans 'inappropriate' for the Green Belt area but ultimately approved them after McIlroy demonstrated the environmental benefits, reports the Daily Mail.

Planning officials approved the plans with conditions, stating: 'The development is considered to be inappropriate development within the Green Belt, but very special circumstances are considered to exist.'
McIlroy's representatives included an application arguing that 'very special circumstances' existed due to the 'wider environmental benefits' of having a heat pump providing 'renewable energy' for heating the proposed pool.
Planners agreed, noting in their decision: 'It is considered that significant weight can be attributed to the environmental benefits and this would outweigh the harm to the Green Belt.'
The council concluded: 'It is considered that very special circumstances exist.'
