Bryson DeChambeau has taken to social media

Bryson DeChambeau has offered to host a golf match between Donald Trump and Joe Biden following the US presidential debate on Thursday night.

The two men, aged 78 and 81 respectively, debated in front of millions ahead of the US election in November.

Somewhat bizarrely, the pair talked about golf - with both firing verbal shots at each other with millions of people around the world watching on.

Trump boasted: "I've won two club championships - not even senior - two regular club championships.

"To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way and I do it.

"He doesn't do it. He can't hit a ball 50 yards.

"He challenged me to a golf match - he can't hit a ball 50 yards."

Biden then responded by saying he would be 'happy to do a driving contest'.

The 81-year-old, who fumbled his words throughout the debate, said: "I got my handicap when I was vice president, down to a six.

"And by the way, I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?"

Trump then accused Biden of fibbing, saying: "That's the biggest lie that he's a six handicap of all."

A blundering Biden then appeared to back down slightly, saying: "I was a weight handicap. Yeah. Eight."

Trump retorted: "I've seen you swing, I know your swing.

"Let's not act like children."
