Gary Lineker has revealed he's open to wearing just his underpants on Match of the Day again.

However, he'll only do that if Leicester win the Premier League title for a second time - having last done so back in 2016.

That year, everybody expected the usual suspects such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal to challenge for the biggest prize in the country.

Yet Leicester sent shockwaves around world football by securing Premier League title glory - upsetting the odds in the process.

Speaking on a BBC podcast, Micah Richards quizzed Lineker on whether he'd strip down on Match of the Day again.

And the former England striker responded by saying: "If Leicester won the league again, I'll do it."

Alan Shearer, who also appeared on the podcast, chimed in by asking: "Even the Championship?"

Leicester are currently playing in the second tier of English football following their relegation last season.

But Lineker made it clear he'd only wear it if his old side won the Premier League again.

Richards sounded disappointed and said: They're not going to win the Premier League again are they?"

And Lineker joked: "Micah, do you want to see me in my pants in my sixties?"

Leicester have been flying so far this season ever since appointing Enzo Maresca as Dean Smith's replacement at the King Power Stadium.

They lost James Maddison in an early blow to their hopes of securing automatic promotion.

However, Leicester have won 10 of their opening 11 Championship matches in order to sit above Ipswich Town in the table.

Leicester have scored 23 goals, with only their rivals netting more.

And their record of just six goals conceded is the best in the Championship, too.

There is, however, still a long way to go before Leicester can talk about winning the Premier League title again.

They were 5000/1 outsiders to secure the crown that year.

Yet they lost just three matches all season and ended up securing 81 points, with Arsenal finishing second with 71.

Speaking in 2019, meanwhile, Lineker said Leicester winning the league was the best sporting moment of his life.

“When you’re a player, you’re a player," he stated. "Whichever club you’re playing for, that’s your club and you inherit the rivalries of that club.

“But what genuinely surprised me is that when I finished playing all that went away and all of a sudden I was a Leicester fan again, and that gradually grew and grew and grew.

“When Leicester won the league, I genuinely feel that was the best sporting moment of my life – and I had no part in it whatsoever!

“It was nothing to do with me, but it was my club and it was a miracle.
