Football legend Wayne Rooney found himself in an amusing predicament during a recent backstage visit at the West End musical Mrs Doubtfire.
The former England striker's attempt to try on the show's iconic granny mask was thwarted by an unexpected obstacle - his famously thick neck.
The hilarious moment unfolded when Rooney, 39, and his wife Coleen visited the production earlier this month, leaving the cast in fits of laughter as the prop failed to accommodate his athletic build.
Actor Gabriel Vick, who stars in the production, invited Rooney to try on the mask and wig he uses to transform into the beloved character.

The footballer gamely attempted an impression, declaring "Hello my dear" while donning the wig.
"Recently we had Wayne Rooney try on the mask and wig. His neck is so thick and strong it didn't fit but that added to the overall hilarity of the look," Vick explained.
"Before I remembered to tell Coleen not to go public it was everywhere!" he added.
Coleen Rooney, 38, shared her delight about the evening on social media, posting snapshots of their theatrical experience.
"Really enjoyed the show... Amazing cast, lots of laughs throughout. And lots of laughs afterwards," she captioned her posts.
The couple rounded off their evening by posing for a photograph with the entire cast, both beaming with smiles.

Vick revealed his extensive preparation for the iconic role, having watched the original Robin Williams film over 100 times.
"I watched it about 97 times when I was 13 and finally got hold of the VHS," he said.
The actor continues to study specific scenes to perfect his performance.
"I dip into specific scenes now and then and YouTube is great for some deleted scenes; one deleted scene was turned into a song for the show," he explained.
