Wayne Rooney sacking demanded by furious football fans after Plymouth lose another match

Furious fans on social media have called on Plymouth to sack Wayne Rooney following another defeat for the Championship side on Saturday.
The Pilgrims went into Saturday's clash with Sheffield United hoping to record a first win since November 5.
But pressure has now intensified, with Rooney's side losing 2-0 to the Blades following goals from Gustavo Harmer and Kieffer Moore.
The result leaves Plymouth sat 23rd in the Championship table, with Hull the only team below them.

Their latest setback also comes after defeats to Swansea, Bristol City and Norwich that have left Rooney fighting for his job.
And fans on social media have now called for the Manchester United and Everton icon to be axed immediately.
"Ffs sack Rooney for the sake of your club," one user wrote, addressing Plymouth's official account directly.
Another said: "Plymouth gonna sack Rooney soon."

A third stated: "I think today could be Wayne Rooney's last game for Plymouth."
A fourth wrote: "Time to sack Rooney!"
And a fifth, who also messaged Plymouth, said: "From a bluenose, he took us to div 1, get rid of the clown while you can still climb. Rooney was a great player but he certainly can't manage."
However, while many fans want to see the back of the football legend, Rooney said before that he was planning to be in charge of the January transfer window.

"There is always honest conversations between myself, Neil (Dewsnip, director of football), Andrew (Parkinson, chief executive officer), Simon - whoever that may be - about how can we improve," he said.
"And from a recruitment point of view what players can we bring in to help, what players do we need, what players do we need to get out.
"These are all conversations which are going on, so come January we are in the best possible position we can be to get what we need.
"Getting the injured players back will be like new signings for us but we all know, we are under no illusion, we need to improve the squad, that's there for everyone to see.

"We are working extremely hard to put ourselves in the best position to do that as early as possible."
Argyle chairman Simon Hallett also insisted at the start of the month that Rooney's job was safe.
"Clearly, we are all under pressure," he said.
"We are not playing well, we are not doing on the pitch what we wanted us to do.

"So we are all feeling the pressure. Fans are feeling the pressure, the board is feeling the pressure and Wayne is feeling the pressure.
"What we are going to do is not think about getting rid of him and changing him. We are thinking about how we can support him.
"So there are no conversations going on about replacing Wayne but there are conversations going on about how we can support him to help him become the great coach we think is in there."
