Paul Coyte and Clive Allen look ahead to Thomas Tuchel's first match as England manager.
With the international break upon us Paul Coyte and former England international Clive Allen give their predictions on how both England and Wales will get on over the next week.
As Thomas Tuchel prepares for his opening game as England manager Clive Allen gave his view on the appointment saying "I think he has a fabulous CV, but as we always know, the only way you win with England is if you win and that there's no seconds. So a big task, but one I'm sure he's looking forward to taking on."
Clive also recalled meeting Tuchel and said "I had the pleasure of meeting him at Spurs a couple of weeks ago when he was watching a game now, I've got to say, he was a very, very nice guy, and was very excited about taking on the role right now."
Now, let's get into the predictions:
England vs Albania
Clive: 3-0
"I think its going to be the perfect start for Thomas Tuchel. Look at the stats there - Albania have only won one in their last five. England have beaten them 5-0, 2-0 and 2-0 in the last three games they've played against them. I can't see anything more than a comfortable 3-0 England victory in this opening game for Tuchel."
Paul: 3-0
"You know what I'm going to say, exactly the same. Yeah, I think we'll say 3-0. But for Thomas Tuchel this time, is it an experimental time."
England vs Latvia
Clive: 2-0
"I can't really see too much difference in that as well. I think, you know, it should be the perfect start. I'll go 3-0 against Albania and 2-0 against Latvia."
Paul: 2-0
"Honestly, we can't see any problem with either of these, can we?"
Wales vs Kazakhstan
Clive: 1-0
"Wales can get off to a winning start. I see a tricky trip to North Macedonia on Tuesday, but if they can start with two wins well, they'll be so buoyant that they will almost set themselves up with a fantastic opportunity of qualifying for the World Cup. So I'm going to go a tight game against Kazakhstan 1-0."
Paul: 2-1
"I'm similar but I'm going to say 2-1. I think they'll get a couple of goals and I think Kazakhstan might get one as well."
North Macedonia vs Wales
Clive: 0-2
"Craig Bellamy is so passionate about football first and foremost. But then Welsh football, there's nothing that he wants more than to take Wales to the World Cup."
Paul: 0-2
"I think from what we know about Craig Bellamy, the player and seems a bit volatile. This was someone that really had his head screwed on. Knows exactly what it means to be the Wales manager. I'm with you on North Macedonia, I'm saying 0-2."
