Trent Alexander-Arnold has spoken out amid links to Real Madrid next summer as his contract at Liverpool looks set to expire.
The England international will see his deal come to an end on June 30 while Spanish giants Real Madrid have been strongly linked with the defender.
GB News understands that Los Blancos have made it clear to Liverpool that they intend on signing the right-back at the end of the season on a free transfer, and are able to speak to him formally on January 1 over a pre-contract agreement.
Alexander-Arnold, who has been with Liverpool since 2004, has now spoken out on the matter - insisting the rumbling saga will remain private.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the defender said: "I have been at the club 20 years now and I have signed four or five contract extensions… and none of those have been played out in public.
"This one won't be either."
It comes amid ongoing contract talks with Liverpool, who have offered Alexander-Arnold a new deal.
The Reds also have Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah out of contract at the end of the season, which has left fans concerned that the key trio could all depart on free transfers.
The club have offered all three new contracts while Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has insisted Liverpool will do well to keep the trio.
"If the club can get all three done it will be a monumental moment," Ferdinand said on TNT Sports.

"(They are all) huge talents who have the service they have given is tremendous.
"They are up there with the greats but I can't see them getting all three done.
"I think Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah will stay, (but) this is an opportunity for someone like Trent, to go to Real Madrid.
"A club like that, they don’t come around often and the way it is coming around, he will never have an easier opportunity than now, so he will find it hard (to stay)."

Alexander-Arnold has made 328 appearances for Liverpool throughout his career and is one of the best in the world at his position.
As well as scoring 19 goals, several from free-kicks, his passing range is widely acclaimed as world-class and he has an astonishing 84 assists.
After the departure of Jurgen Klopp, it was suggested thay some players might want to try their hand elsewhere, including Alexander-Arnold.
But the Liverpudlian has admitted that he is enjoying Arne Slot's coaching style, with the club top of the Premier League and Champions League tables.

"The style with which he coaches, and the style with which we play and the identity we have as a team is something that is there to see," he said.
"We're all enjoying it, he's getting the best out of players, that's all you want as a player. We're all willing to learn to improve.
"That's what you want, he's someone who will coach that into us. Like you've seen, the lads have bought into it from day one.
"That's what you need as a new manager, when you've got willing lads to learn and receive feedback, then you're halfway there."
