Tottenham fans have been left less than impressed at the number of players returning early from their loan spells this month.
Spurs announced on Thursday that Djed Spence became the latest player to return to the club after Leeds cut his season-long loan short.
Dane Scarlett and Sergio Reguilon have also returned to Tottenham this month after loan spells with Ipswich Town and Manchester United respectively were ended prematurely.
Tottenham have been going through an injury crisis in defence with Ange Postecoglou naming a back four last time out solely made up of full-backs with no senior centre-backs fit or available.

Both Reguilon and Spence may be needed if injury issues persist, while Scarlett may also have chances to feature with Son Heung-in now departed to represent South Korea in the Asia Cup.
However, the news of Tottenham's three loanees returning hasn't sat well with some of the club's fanbase.
One supporter mockingly said: "Spence and Reguilon back so Levy can keep using the we have an inflated squad so we need to sell before we buy excuse gimmick."
A second worryingly noted: "That's three players that's come back from loan early."
Another joked: "Scarlett, Reguilon, Spence what a transfer window."
A fourth wrote: "Anyone thinking he’s good enough hasn’t watched him. He’s poor technically on the ball, doesn’t suit Ange style at all."
Another asked: "Does no club actually want our deadwood?"
Tottenham are expected to do some business in January to help with the injury issues and keep the pressure on their rivals for a top-four spot.

"Depending on sort of the opportunities we have to do that this month, we’ll try and do."
