Thomas Tuchel looks set to lose almost half of his huge salary as England manager after penning an 18-month contract in October, effective from January.
The FA forked out a £5million-a-year deal to hire Tuchel to succeed Gareth Southgate, who resigned after the European Championship last summer where England reached the final before losing to Spain.
It will see the German take charge of England over the World Cup next summer, which is being held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
But first, the Three Lions must qualify for the competition - with England being drawn against Serbia, Albania, Latvia, Andorra in their World Cup qualifiers group.

The first match is taking place on Friday night with England hosting Albania, which will see Tuchel make his bow as this country's manager.
But despite being paid a salary of £5m - this is before tax, while performance-based bonuses have not been included either.
It means that the former Chelsea boss is in the highest tax bracket and faces losing nearly half of his wages through income tax.
Tuchel's take-home pay is set to be around £2.6m - taking into consideration National Insurance as well as the total tax owed to HRMC.
The 51-year-old has led some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.
Most recently, Tuchel was in charge of Chelsea before he was sacked in September 2022 - receiving a £13m pay-off in the process.

And prior to his Blues dismissal, PSG forked out £6m to terminate his contract on Christmas Day in 2020.
With England approaching their first match with Tuchel at the helm, there is little chance that the FA will axe the German - unless they fail to qualify for the World Cup.
The FA targeted Tuchel for his remarkable tactical acumen and his trophy-winning mentality, helping Chelsea defy the odds to win the Champions League in 2021.

England are hot favourites to steamroll their World Cup qualifying group, with Albania up first on Friday night at Wembley.
Tuchel courted controversy after announcing his squad, which included 34-year-old Jordan Henderson but his leadership qualities were hailed by the new England boss and part of his decision to recall the Ajax star.
The Krumbach-born coach also hit out at Southgate's style at Euro 2024 and insisted England looked terrified when playing, despite reaching the final.
“[They were missing] the identity, the clarity, the rhythm, the repetition of patterns, the freedom of players, the expression of players, the hunger," he said.

“They were more afraid to drop out of the tournament in my observation than having the excitement and hunger to win.”
When asked what England lacked under Southgate, Tuchel said: "Excitement.
“That people feel that's the team to beat. That we arrive [at the World Cup] with a group to beat, once we qualified, when we arrive, that everyone knows this is the team to beat.”
