Sven-Goran Eriksson may get the chance to fulfil a dream of managing Liverpool after being offered the chance to coach the Reds in a legends charity match.
The former England boss revealed this week he has terminal cancer and has less than a year to live.
Eriksson, 75, managed the Three Lions for five years between 2001 and 2006.
His other spells in England saw him have a year in charge of both Manchester City and Leicester.

However, he is a lifelong Liverpool fan and has always dreamt of managing the Merseyside club.
Eriksson told Sky News: "My father is still a Liverpool supporter and I am a Liverpool supporter too, always have been.
"So I always wished to be the manager of Liverpool and that will not happen, but I'm still a Liverpool fan."
And it appears he may get the chance to fulfil that wish in some capacity.
Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler often takes part in the legends charity matches.
A fan tweeted Fowler, writing: "Make this happen for him. This would be class lads."
And it appears the wheels are already in motion, with Fowler replying: "Calls gone in mate."
Liverpool FC Legends are next in action on March 23 against Ajax Legends at Anfield.
Eriksson has already stated that he hopes to be in England on that day as Gareth Southgate's side play Brazil in a friendly at Wembley.
But the opportunity to step out as a Liverpool manager may be too good for him to turn down.
John Gibbons of the Anfield Wrap podcast admits he would 'love' to see Eriksson in the dugout in March.
He told Sky News: "I think people would think it a lovely thing.
"He's a popular person, but knowing that he's got this dream of being a Liverpool manager all this time just kind of hit home for those Liverpool fans even more really.
"We've got a legends game coming up in March, so a lot of Liverpool legends come back every year.
"It raises a lot of money for the fantastic LFC Foundation and there's maybe a role there to manage that team.

"So if we can help you try and make that happen, that would be fantastic.
"But if not there is a space on the Kop next to me.
"If you'd like to come and watch a game as well you would always be more than welcome at Anfield."
