Sir Jim Ratcliffe was full of praise for Manchester United after they beat Manchester City 2-1 to win the FA Cup on Saturday.
The Red Devils went into the game as underdogs, having recently finished eighth in the Premier League table.
But goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave United a second trophy under Ten Hag, easing some of the pressure on the 54-year-old in the process.
Talk of the Dutchman being sacked has ramped up in the past 48 hours, with Kieran McKenna and Mauricio Pochettino being linked with his job.

But Ratcliffe, while stopping short of giving Ten Hag a vote of confidence, has now hailed the 'glorious feeling' of winning the cup.
“It is a glorious feeling to win the FA Cup final at Wembley," said the British billionaire, who purchased a minority stake in the club earlier in the season.
"Manchester United clearly were not the favourites to win today but they played with total commitment and skill and overcame one of the great teams in football.
"We are all very proud of the players and the staff who work tirelessly to support them.”
Ratcliffe wasn't the only United figure to speak out after the result at Wembley.
Defender Diogo Dalot, who produced a sublime performance at right-back, said: "It was the best way to approach the game, the hard work, the resilience and it was our best game of the season in terms of being a team.
"You could feel in the dressing room before the game we really wanted to win this game.
"This is the standard of this club and it has to be every game and it feels good to end the season with a trophy.
"We could've done more things better all season but it feels good for us and the especially the fans, they have been amazing all year and more than anyone they deserve this.
"We knew if we closed the middle and allowed them to play from the outside it could get easier for us and knew the spaces were in behind them."
Captain Bruno Fernandes, who lifted the trophy in the wake of his side's triumph, added: "It was the last chance to get something positive from the season.
"We were here last season and we weren't good enough and we had to see them go up and get the trophy.
"They have great quality, great players, a great manager. We had to sacrifice and suffer but we did great things. I try my best to help the team.
"Kobbie Mainoo is really good, such a quality player and you can see the composure he had with the finish.
"He came through the Academy and once more on the biggest stage in the world he showed it again.
