The England international has swapped Old Trafford for Villa Park

Ryan Giggs' brother, Rhodri Giggs, has sparked a huge backlash after criticising Marcus Rashford's decision to leave Manchester United for Aston Villa.

The England international has departed Old Trafford on a temporary replacement after being frozen out by Ruben Amorim over the past six weeks.

Rashford is joining a Villa team who can offer him Champions League football, while they're also still in the FA Cup.

Furthermore, they're also five places above United in the Premier League table - and eight points better off.

Rashford to Villa could be a masterstroke for all parties but Rhodri, writing on X, isn't impressed.

"Stop I can’t breathe," he said, accompanying his upload with two laughing emojis. "So let’s get this right, you wanted a new challenge and this where you want it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

However, many fans have hit back at Rhodri by pointing out how Villa are outperforming United at present.

"They are a Champions League club and aren’t languishing in the bottom half in a crumbling stadium. Sounds like his moving up in his career to me," said one fan.
