The Sky Sports pundit has opened up on the duo

Roy Keane has opened up on Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho after the duo were dropped for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

The duo had previously been expected to feature in the match at the Etihad Stadium.

But Ruben Amorim has surprisingly snubbed the pair, with Amad Diallo and Mason Mount set to play alongside Rasmus Hojlund in attack.

Explaining his decision, Amorim said: “We try to evaluate everything training performance, game performances, engagement with teammates, push their team-mates up.

Keane added: “A move for Marcus [Rashford] would suit the player – a new challenge for him.

"He’s been there a long time. When you’re at a big club and your attitude is not right – and it hasn’t been great recently – sometimes it’s good to part ways.”

United have gone with Andre Onana in goal, with Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez making up a back three.
