Manchester United legend Roy Keane delivered a characteristically blunt response when asked about potentially appearing on ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! during Sunday evening's England versus Ireland match coverage.
The former midfielder's terse "Not for me" came after fellow pundit Ian Wright enthusiastically suggested Keane should participate in the reality show, which launched its new series later that same evening.
The exchange occurred during ITV's pre-match coverage at Wembley, with presenter Mark Pougatch reminiscing about Wright's own appearance on the show five years ago.
Wright, who appeared alongside celebrities including James Haskell and Nadine Coyle in 2019, recalled the experience as "scary".
"I think he should go in," Wright urged.
"My friends James Haskell and Nadine Coyle went in and it was the greatest things that has happened to them."

The Arsenal legend did note some drawbacks: "Other than that, not a lot of sleep and not a lot of food."
Rangers legend Ally McCoist also recently rejected appearing on the show when questioned by Jeff Stelling.
McCoist shared a humorous perspective on the decision, recounting a conversation with a friend: "My wee mate phoned me and said, 'What a decision you've got to make – sitting on the halfway line in the best seats in the house at the San Siro and watching Inter Milan v Man City or AC Milan vs Arsenal – or eating a bag of spiders!'"
During the same broadcast, Keane showcased his trademark humour when discussing his future son-in-law Taylor Harwood-Bellis scoring for England.
When asked about the Southampton defender's goal, which made it 5-0 to England, Keane quipped: "It's not done and dusted yet.
"Things can change very quickly in the Keane household!"
Harwood-Bellis, who is engaged to Keane's daughter Leah, made his senior England debut after progressing through the under-21 ranks.
The match itself saw England secure a commanding victory at Wembley, with Harwood-Bellis's goal capping off a 5-0 win.
The game changed dramatically after Liam Scales was sent off, with England scoring three goals in just five minutes.

Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson was left stunned by the result, stating: "I'm lost for words.
"Six minutes of madness. It was a shock, conceding a penalty, conceding a goal, losing a player."
