Real Madrid have met with LaLiga's refereeing council amid accusations of bias following Jude Bellingham's controversial red card against Osasuna, according to reports in Spain.

The meeting, reported by Marca, saw club officials confront the CTA (refereeing council) over perceived unfair treatment.

The talks come as the England international faces a potential 12-match ban for allegedly directing foul language at referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero during Saturday's 1-1 draw.

This controversy centres on a dispute over the exact words used by Bellingham in the 39th minute of the match.

The referee claims the midfielder said "f**k you" directly to him, warranting the straight red card.

However, Bellingham's version suggests he merely said "f**k off", with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti defending his player.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has branded Bellingham's behaviour as "disrespectful" amid the ongoing row.

During the meeting, officials also discussed a controversial incident involving Kylian Mbappe from a match earlier this month.

The France star was brought down by Espanyol's Carlos Romero in the 61st minute on as they lost 1-0 on February 1.

Ancelotti deemed it "inexplicable" that Romero only received a yellow card for the challenge.

The defender later went on to score the winning goal in the 85th minute, before apologising to Mbappe after the match for the tackle.

According to Spanish media, Real Madrid sources stated that while "the CTA denied a negative bias towards Madrid, the club sees it, and has expressed it as such."

The meeting included a review of match audio recordings, but Real Madrid remained unconvinced despite evidence presented by officials.

Real are pushing for a "substantial change" to refereeing processes in LaLiga, including greater transparency in decision-making.

The CTA has reportedly shown willingness to implement changes to their procedures.

Amid the ongoing officiating disputes, reports suggest Real Madrid are considering a dramatic move away from LaLiga.

The club is allegedly exploring options to join Serie A, Ligue 1, or the Bundesliga as potential new homes.

Any such move would require multiple approvals, including from FIFA and UEFA, as well as acceptance from the prospective new league.

The reports emerge as tensions continue to mount between the Spanish giants and LaLiga's officiating bodies.

Bellingham has since addressed the incident on social media, expressing regret for his actions.

"Enough said about the misunderstanding," the midfielder wrote. "Just wanted to apologise again for leaving my teammates in such a tough position and thank the fans for their support and understanding."

The case bears similarities to Mason Greenwood's red card at Getafe last season, which was overturned after proving he had said "f**k sake" to himself rather than directing abuse at the referee.

The Spanish FA reversed Greenwood's punishment after reviewing video evidence.
