The game at Ibrox ended 3-3

Rangers and Celtic players were involved in a heated brawl following their 3-3 Old Firm derby draw on Sunday.

The Gers trailed 2-0 and 3-2 but came back to earn a point and boost their chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title.

After the final whistle was blown at Ibrox, however, tempers boiled over.

Todd Cantwell appeared to push Celtic star Callum McGregor, with other players joining the fray before being separated.

Fortunately the incident didn't last long and Cantwell joined his Rangers team-mates minutes later to thank the crowd for their support during the high-octane contest.

The match at Ibrox was a classic, however, and one that will live long in the memory.

Celtic took the lead early on when James Tavernier's clearance cannoned off Daizen Maeda and into the net.

And Rangers looked dead and buried when Matt O'Riley converted from the penalty spot.

However, after half time, the Gers were a team completely transformed.

Tavernier made amends for his earlier mistake by netting from 12 yards following a foul on Fabio Silva inside the box.

Rangers thought they'd levelled when Cyriel Dessers blasted home from close range just minutes later.

However, following a VAR check, the goal was disallowed.

Rangers did manage to get back to 2-2 after a strike from Abdallah Sima, who netted in the 86th minute.

But Celtic looked as though they'd break Rangers hearts when Adam Idah scored just one minute later.

However, the home side didn't give up.

And Rabbi Matondo scored a stunning goal in injury time to earn his side a point, sending his effort crashing into the top corner of Joe Hart's goal.

The result means Celtic remain one point clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

However, the Gers can leapfrog their rivals if they win their game in hand against Dundee on Wednesday evening.

Reacting to the game, Rangers icon Kris Boyd praised his old side for digging deep to earn a draw.
