There were four 3pm games on Saturday

Brentford beat Brighton 4-2 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday in the pick of the 3pm kick offs.

Thomas Frank's side had gone into the game hoping to secure their first victory in over a month after failing to overcome the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal.

But the Bees picked up all three points on home soil, with Bryan Mbeumo the star of the show.

The Brentford star scored twice, with Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard also on target, while Danny Welbeck and Kaoru Mitoma's goals for Brighton ultimately counted for nothing.

To make matters worse for the visitors, Joao Pedro was sent off for violent conduct. A three-match ban for the forward now awaits.

Fans were hopeful that the match between Everton and Manchester City would produce something exciting.

After all, the Toffees have been tough to beat ever since David Moyes' return to the club - while City are continuing to push for Champions League football.

Fans at Goodison Park had to be patient, with the majority of the contest underwhelming.

But City were able to snatch all three points through late goals from Nico O'Reilly and Mateo Kovacic.

That's enough to move Pep Guardiola's team up to fourth ahead of Nottingham Forest's showdown with Tottenham on Monday night.

Over at West Ham, Graeme Potter desperately wanted to see his side beat Southampton.

The Hammers have struggled for consistency all season long and went into the game without a Premier League win since February 27.

West Ham weren't at their best against the Saints but looked set to get the job done when Jarrod Bowen struck in the 47th minute.

However, Southampton snatched a late draw through Lesley Ugochukwu, with the Frenchman sparking wild celebrations in the away end.

Southampton are now up to 11 points, the same amount Derby amassed during their doomed 2007/08 campaign. One more point will ensure the Saints avoid joining the Rams in the history books.
