TV presenters Ant and Dec were announced as special guests at the huge celebrations.
The Geordie duo were swarmed by fans as they arrived at St James' Park ahead of the historic day.
Supporters welcomed the Britain's Got Talent presenters with open arms.
The pair posed for selfies as fans gathered around them at the club's stadium in the city centre.
The TV stars took to Twitter/X to share their excitement ahead of the day's events.
An excited Ant shouted: "Alreeeet," at the camera before Dec said: "Hello cheesebags. Us here."
"We are going on an open top bus parade today with Newcastle United players and the Carabao Cup," Dec revealed while Ant screamed in the background.
"Ant's been screaming like a girl for most of the day," Dec added.

Ant admitted he felt like he was going to faint with excitement.
The club had been in talks with Newcastle City Council and Northumbria Police to organise the parade route.
The team bus is set to depart from St James' Park, travel through Gallowgate and Percy Street, and head towards the Town Moor.

St James' Park and Percy Street have been particular hotspots for fans so far.
The business and noise level has been ramping up as the event draws nearer.

The open-top bus parade is set to take place at around 4:30pm, giving fans the chance to see their heroes celebrate.
In an official statement, the club confirmed: "Extensive work and long-term planning behind the scenes have continued with Newcastle City Council, Northumbria Police, Freemen of Newcastle, the North East Combined Authority, NE1, Nexus and the emergency services."
