Eddie Howe is in line for a substantial 50 per cent pay rise if he can guide Newcastle to Champions League qualification following their Carabao Cup triumph, according to reports.
The Magpies boss led his side to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday, ending the club's 56-year wait for silverware.
Howe immediately set his sights on securing more honours, with a top-four Premier League finish now the priority.
Success would trigger a significant salary increase as part of his current contract, which runs until 2028, reports The Sun.

Howe has become the first English manager since Harry Redknapp in 2008 to win major domestic silverware.
The achievement has already cemented his status as a legend on Tyneside.
At 47, Howe has transformed Newcastle's fortunes since his appointment with their Carabao Cup victory representing a significant milestone in the club's recent history under their Saudi ownership.
Should Newcastle secure Champions League football, Howe's salary would increase to around £9 million-per-year.

This substantial pay rise is built into his current contract as a performance-related bonus.
The potential financial boost comes as reward for delivering both silverware and European qualification.
Newcastle's hierarchy view Howe as integral to their long-term ambitions despite financial constraints imposed by PSR rules.
The increased salary could help the Toon ward off potential interest from England after Thomas Tuchel's contract ends following the 2026 World Cup.
Howe was widely considered for the Three Lions job after Gareth Southgate's departure last summer.
Despite speculation, Tuchel secured the position while Howe claimed he received no approach from the FA.
The German manager's contract only runs until the end of the 2026 tournament, however, leading to speculation he won't be around for long
Howe remains highly regarded within the FA and would likely be a top candidate should the position become available.
