Mohamed Salah has hit back at Jamie Carragher on social media, suggesting the Sky Sports pundit is "obsessed" with him amid ongoing discussions about his Liverpool future.
The Egyptian forward wrote on X: "I'm starting to think you're obsessed with me," accompanied by a winking emoji.
The response came after Carragher urged Salah and teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold to follow Virgil van Dijk's example in handling their contract situations at Liverpool.
Earlier on Monday, Salah had posted a cryptic photo of himself alongside Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk.

Carragher's comments came during a Sky Sports broadcast where he praised Van Dijk's handling of his contract situation.
"I would say Virgil van Dijk has come out of this whole situation, as the captain of the club, in a higher esteem for me," Carragher said.
"The way he's conducted himself, his performances on the pitch, the way he's led the team. He hasn't got involved in too much around this."
The former Liverpool defender suggested both Salah and Alexander-Arnold "could maybe look at Virgil van Dijk and take a leaf out of his book."
All three Liverpool stars - Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk - will be out of contract at the end of the season.
They are now free to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.
Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with Real Madrid, with reports suggesting Liverpool rejected a bid from the Spanish club this month.
Salah has publicly expressed frustration over his contract situation, indicating he currently has no choice but to view this as his last season at Liverpool.

Carragher had previously labelled Salah as "selfish" for speaking publicly about his contract situation.
The Sky Sports pundit instead praised Van Dijk's leadership approach, saying: "He's come across as a real statesman the way he's handled it. He's been asked questions, he's knocked it away."
"He's here to win the league, he wants to do his utmost for Liverpool. Fingers crossed he signs," Carragher added about the Liverpool captain.

Addressing Alexander-Arnold's situation specifically, Carragher dismissed the possibility of a January departure to Real Madrid.
"No, I don't see that - no matter what the figure was from Real Madrid," he stated.
The pundit emphasised Liverpool's title aspirations, adding: "The most important thing is Liverpool win the league and I think if Liverpool were to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold right now, that would give them a major problem."
He acknowledged Alexander-Arnold's recent struggles: "He had a really poor game yesterday, we know that, but in the main he's been an absolute superstar for Liverpool."
