The Egypt international was jubilant after the Reds trounced Tottenham 5-1 on Sunday

Mohamed Salah, who is Muslim, appeared to be drenched in beer after Liverpool won the Premier League title with a 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

However, it has now been clarified that it was actually zero per cent beer - with the Reds using the beverage instead of alcohol to accommodate their Muslim players.

Liverpool were too strong for Tottenham on Sunday as they secured their first Premier League title since 2020.

Spurs initially threatened to ruin the party, with Dominic Solanke putting the visitors ahead with a thunderbolt header.

Amid the title celebrations, much-maligned striker Darwin Nunez appeared to drench Salah in beer.

Yet fans spotted that the beer was actually zero per cent, with X community notes saying: "It's a non alcoholic drink.

"The tactics are quite different. I said, 'As long as you rest me defensively I will provide offensively', so I am glad that I did. He listened a lot and you can see the numbers.
