The England international has improved ever since he angered Erik ten Hag with his partying antics

Marcus Rashford has taken up doing jigsaws with the Manchester United star reportedly 'making an effort to behave himself'.

The England international recently angered Erik ten Hag by partying for two nights in Northern Ireland.

Rashford allegedly downed tequila and it was even claimed that, as he partied, he dropped a bag full of cash all over the floor.

This is something United insiders have denied, though Ten Hag was clearly furious with his star man following the trip to Belfast.

Rashford was dropped for a 4-2 win over Newport County in the FA Cup.

He has, however, since returned to the fold and looked significantly improved.

Rashford scored in the club's 4-3 win over Wolves, while he impressed again as United cruised to a 3-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday.

The 26-year-old recently took to Instagram to show off an image of himself doing a jigsaw.

And a source has told The Sun that Rashford is 'making an effort' to get back into his manager's good books.

They're quoted as saying: “It’s an unusual choice for a top-flight footballer in his 20s, but the last thing he needs is to return to his partying.

“He’s making an effort to stay in and behave himself.

"Let’s hope he sticks with it.”

Rashford is, however, being linked with a move away from United as the end of the season creeps closer.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be eyeing the United star, with the Ligue 1 giants having a longstanding interest in the forward.

All signs point to Kylian Mbappe departing the Parc des Princes for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

And Rashford would be a good replacement for the France international, particularly if PSG could get him back to his best.

United reminded Rashford after his trip to Northern Ireland that standards at the club need to be raised.

Though the Red Devils have recently improved, they're still a far cry from the side that dominated the Premier League under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who recently purchased a 25 per cent stake in the club, wants everybody to kick into gear so United can bring back the glory days.

And Rashford is doing all he can to show he's got what it takes to survive under the new regime.

Meanwhile, former United star Dwight Yorke recently opened up on Rashford.

Yorke knows all about life at Old Trafford having been a key player for Ferguson during his time in the dugout.

And the 52-year-old, speaking to Sky Sports, still feels Rashford is a key figure for the fallen giants.

He said: "I feel that Marcus Rashford is the best player at Manchester United Football Club.

"You can’t have your best player going off the rails like that, that doesn’t happen. There is a reason behind it.

"I think it’s the manager’s duty to find out what the reason is, to have that one-on-one conversation as to why his star man is doing what he’s doing.

"There is more to it, there might be more to it than we know.

"Yes, the media speculates and he was in Belfast doing what he was doing, doing what he wasn’t supposed to have done. I don’t condone that for a minute, no way.

"But there must be a route to it somewhere that you need to get the bottom of. If I was Ten Hag I would drive to his house and have a one-on-one conversation with him in front of his mum or his agent, I’d have all these conversations. I would drive to his house because I know how important he is to my success, to Manchester United’s success. He is a key figure."
