The Manchester United star has been linked with an exit this January

Marcus Rashford has strongly denied reports claiming he met with a leading sports agency to engineer a move away from Manchester United.

The England forward took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to dismiss suggestions he had held talks with Stellar agency about facilitating a January transfer from Old Trafford.

Rashford, 27, branded the recent speculation as "ridiculous" amid ongoing uncertainty about his future under new United manager Ruben Amorim.

The striker, who is currently represented by his brother Dwaine Maynard, has faced increased scrutiny after being left out of several recent matchday squads.

The Sun had reported that Rashford was in discussions with Stellar, the agency known for orchestrating Gareth Bale's move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013.

The report, published on December 31, suggested Rashford was "keen" to bring in additional representation beyond his brother.

Stellar represents several high-profile players, including Jack Grealish, Ivan Toney, and Eduardo Camavinga, as well as Rashford's United teammate Kobbie Mainoo.

The agency was reportedly being considered to help expedite a potential January transfer, with PSG and several Saudi Arabian clubs thought to be interested in the forward.

Rashford has endured a difficult period under new manager Ruben Amorim, having been excluded from four consecutive matchday squads.

His absence began with the Manchester derby in December, followed by matches against Spurs, Bournemouth and Wolves.

The forward made a return to the squad for Monday evening's 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle United, though he remained an unused substitute.

When questioned about Rashford's return to the squad, Amorim offered little clarity, stating simply: "Selection.

"We have a lot of players outside. Every week I chose my players and this time he is here."

The striker has struggled for form this season, managing just four Premier League goals.

Taking to Instagram, Rashford directly addressed the speculation with a firm rebuttal.

"Been a lot of false stories written over past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous – never met with any agency and don't have any plans to," wrote the United forward.

His response came alongside a screenshot of The Sun's article about the alleged agency talks.

The strong denial marks Rashford's first public comment on the mounting transfer speculation that has surrounded him in recent weeks.
