Manchester United have completed the signing of Danish defender Patrick Dorgu from Lecce for an initial fee of £25.2m, with potential add-ons worth £4.2m.
The 20-year-old left-back has penned a contract until 2030, with the option of an additional year.
Dorgu becomes Ruben Amorim's first signing as United head coach since his appointment in November.
The transfer was finalised after the defender flew into Manchester and completed his medical at Carrington.

The deal marks United's first signing of the January transfer window, with the club looking to strengthen their options at left wing-back.
The Denmark international has made 57 appearances for Lecce since joining from Danish club Nordsjaelland in 2022.
He has scored five goals during his time in Serie A, including three this season.
Dorgu has established himself as a regular starter, featuring in all but one of Lecce's 22 league matches this campaign.
The versatile defender, who has earned four caps for Denmark, can operate as both a left-back and right-back, as well as in more advanced positions on the flanks.
His rapid rise through senior football has been remarkable, having only made his professional debut last season.

Speaking about his move, Dorgu told the club's official website: "I am incredibly proud to be able to call myself a Manchester United player; this is a very special day for my whole family."
"I cannot wait to work with Ruben Amorim; his vision for this team and the future of the club is incredibly exciting," he added.
The young defender expressed confidence in his development path at Old Trafford: "There is a clear plan set out for my development, and I feel that Manchester United is the perfect place to fulfil my potential and complete my huge ambitions."

United's technical director Jason Wilcox praised the new signing's attributes and potential.
"Patrick is a really exciting talent; his strong defensive and attacking attributes, adaptability and work-rate will make him a key part of Ruben Amorim's squad," Wilcox said.
He emphasised the club's commitment to youth development: "Patrick has had a superb start to his career, and at the age of just 20, we know he will continue to develop under the guidance of our excellent coaching team."
Wilcox added: "Patrick is the latest exciting young player that we have bought into the club. We believe that each of these talents has world-class potential and the ability to play a key role in achieving the success that everyone at Manchester United is striving for."

The transfer followed a two-week saga during which United were locked in negotiations with Lecce officials, who initially insisted Dorgu was not for sale.
Lecce president Sticchi Damiani had stated last week: "We are trying to resist, as is logical, because it is in our interest to keep the players who are protagonists of this group."
The breakthrough came after Lecce manager Marco Giampaolo left Dorgu out of Friday's match against Parma.
"It's true, Patrick Dorgu will be flying to Manchester on Saturday," Giampaolo confirmed. "He's a fantastic player and guy. He always did his best for us. I didn't play him tonight as his mind could be already there, Old Trafford."
