Footage uploaded by the FA Cup on X shows the Dutchman smiling warmly as he spoke to his star duo.
He rapped Mainoo on his chest before pulling both of his players together.
It is currently unclear if Ten Hag will keep his job at Old Trafford, however, after a difficult season where they've failed to live up to expectations.
They finished eighth in the Premier League table, while also toiling in the Carabao Cup and Champions League.
But United chiefs have a decision to make on Ten Hag, who has now guided the club to two trophies in as many years.
Garnacho was jubilant when interviewed by the BBC after the final whistle.
The Argentina international has now emulated by Cristiano Ronaldo by scoring in the FA Cup final as a teenager - with the Portugal international previously managing the feat in 2004.
And Garnacho reacted to the win by saying: "Incredible. Nobody believed in us. But we’re a team, all together. We fought, the game of our lives.
"Incredible [fans]. The fans are always there when we win, or lose, home or away."
On Mainoo, he added: "Incredible. The best player in the squad and he’s the youngest.
"We’re also good friends. I'm so happy for him."
As for Mainoo, the United star was also delighted after helping his team win the historic trophy.
"[It means] absolutely everything. It's been a tough season with ups and downs," said the 19-year-old.
"This is the only thing we’ve had to look forward to. Last year I was in the stands.
"We knew we had to come together. The preparation for this game has been amazing. We’ve shown we can compete and win games."
