The Gunners won 1-0 at Old Trafford

Arsenal continued their quest for Premier League title glory with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Gunners weren't at their best throughout the showdown, with the north London giants lacking their usual energy.

But a goal from Leandro Trossard in the 20th minute was enough to give Mikel Arteta's side all three points as they seek their first league crown in 20 years.

GB News now takes a look at four observations from the match.

United might not win another game this season

United, to their credit, weren't as bad as they were during Monday's chastening defeat to Crystal Palace.

But it's still hard to see the Red Devils winning another game this season, so bad is their form.

United will struggle when Newcastle come to Old Trafford on Monday. Don't expect any relenting from Brighton at the Amex Stadium, too.

And it's simply impossible to see this team challenging Manchester City when they meet in the FA Cup final on May 25.

Results are worsening and Erik ten Hag is in trouble. His future grows more uncertain by the day, with talk of Thomas Tuchel arriving rumbling on.

Casemiro sums up United

If there's one player to sum up United, it's Casemiro.

A fallen star, someone who was once one of the world's best - only to now be a shadow of what they used to be.

Casemiro played Kai Havertz onside for Trossard's goal, sparking a huge backlash from fans in the process.

And the sooner he leaves United, the better for all involved.

Casemiro deserves to relax on huge wages in Saudi Arabia, given everything he's achieved. The Red Devils need fresh blood as they look to improve on this season's shambles.

Trossard comes up clutch

Trossard has had to be patient at Arsenal ever since his arrival from Brighton back in the January transfer window of last year.

But the Belgium international has repaid the faith shown in him by manager Mikel Arteta with some big goals this season.

Trossard settled this contest, with the Arsenal star prodding home from close range.

And that means he's now bagged in six of his last 11 appearances across all competitions.

Trossard has made the left wing position his own, with Gabriel Martinelli having to settle for being on the bench.

Arsenal's defence impresses again

Goals, obviously, win you football matches.

But not conceding them does as well and Arsenal's defence impressed once again.

Ben White had Alejandro Garnacho's number, with Takehiro Tomiyasu able to contain Amad at left-back.

And Gabriel and William Saliba were both able to nullify the threat of Rasmus Hojlund, who was isolated at the tip of United's attack.

Conceding just 28 goals so far this term is impressive and Arsenal, regardless of whether they win the league or not, can be proud of all the progress they've made this term.
