Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly implemented fresh cost-cutting measures at Manchester United, with the latest changes affecting food service at the club's training ground canteen.
The billionaire owner has restricted meal options to just soup and sandwiches for all personnel except first-team players.
This new policy marks another significant change since Ratcliffe took control of the club last February.
The move is part of a broader series of cost-reduction initiatives that have been introduced under his leadership, according to The Sun.

The decision affects academy players and staff members who previously had access to a wider range of dining options at the training facility.
This latest cost-cutting measure follows several other significant changes at the club under Ratcliffe's ownership.
More than 250 staff members have already been made redundant, with additional job cuts expected in the coming weeks and months.
The club's annual Christmas party was cancelled as part of the cost-saving drive.

In another money-saving move, Manchester United's U18s were prevented from playing their FA Youth Cup fifth round match at Old Trafford.
Instead, the fixture was moved to the 12,000-capacity Leigh Sports Village, saving the club £8,000.
Ratcliffe has also raised ticket prices and reduced funding for a charity supporting former players.

United currently find themselves in 15th place in the Premier League table, only ahead of West Ham on goal difference.
The Red Devils showed their ongoing struggles at the weekend, falling 2-0 behind at Goodison Park against Everton.
The team managed to salvage a point through goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte in the second half.

Manager Ruben Amorim has also described his squad as the "worst Man Utd team" in history.
The disappointing league position and recent performances highlight the challenges facing the club during this period of financial restructuring.
Speaking after the Everton match, Amorim admitted he was struggling to address the club's current crisis.
"I don't know what I need to do to bring more consistency. If I knew, I would change it," the United manager said.

He emphasised the need to focus on immediate challenges: "We have to continue to think in the next game, everything we do in the week we have to use it in the game."
"We need to survive this season, and then to think ahead. We have so many problems."
Despite the difficulties, he found some positives in the team's second-half performance at Everton: "The second half was so much better in the belief. In the end we were near to winning this game."
