Manchester City have filed a complaint with BBC Radio Manchester over its coverage of the club, following the absence of a dedicated reporter at their pre-derby press conference.
The incident has left officials at the Etihad Stadium stunned following their 2-1 defeat, with Manchester United winning the match courtesy of goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo.
The missing presence of a City reporter at such a significant event has prompted the club to formally express their concerns to the broadcaster, according to the Daily Mail.
The BBC typically assigns their own City journalist to cover the team's matches and events.

However, this dedicated reporter has recently been frequently reassigned to other duties, with various replacements brought in to cover the club.
City officials believe this treatment is unique among Premier League clubs and that their supporters are being disadvantaged as a result.
The club views this situation as particularly concerning at a time when their form has dropped off a cliff.
The BBC declined to comment on the situation, though internal sources insisted no official complaint had been lodged.

The broadcaster's stance appears to conflict with City's position, with the newspaper insisting that a complaint has indeed been made.
Meanwhile, City have won just one of their last 11 matches.
