Liverpool have reportedly agreed to pay Feyenoord a compensation fee which could reach up to £9.42million for Arne Slot.
And, in doing so, the Reds have made the Dutchman the most-expensive managerial appointment in their entire history.
Liverpool have been hunting a replacement for Jurgen Klopp ever since it was confirmed the German would be leaving the club, having announced he'd be walking away from the role back in January.
Xabi Alonso was initially the frontrunner, only for the Spaniard to commit his future to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Ruben Amorim, Thomas Tuchel, Roberto De Zerbi and Zinedine Zidane have also been linked with the Liverpool job, too.
Yet the Reds have now agreed a deal with Feyenoord for Slot, who has impressed ever since taking charge of the Eredivisie giants back in July 2021.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are set to pay Feyenoord a compensation package that could reach as high as £9.42m.
And when it comes to paying up front, Slot is set to become the Merseyside giants' most-expensive managerial appointment in their entire history.
Klopp didn't cost Liverpool anything when he took over from Brendan Rodgers back in 2015.
That's because the German had already left Borussia Dortmund after a glittering spell at the Westfalenstadion.
Liverpool paid around £5m to land Rodgers, who left Swansea for Anfield in 2012.
Kenny Dalglish was another manager who didn't set the club back anything, with the Anfield icon returning to the dugout in January 2011 following the departure of Roy Hodgson.
Liverpool coughed up £2m to land Hodgson from Fulham mere months previously.
And it'll be intriguing to see how Slot fares in the Premier League.
His body of work at Feyenoord has been impressive, with the 45-year-old guiding Feyenoord to their first Eredivisie title in six years last season.
He has since followed that up with victory in the Dutch Cup this season.
And Klopp, when asked about Slot on Friday, praised the Dutchman ahead of his side's showdown with West Ham today.
"I'm not involved in the process, but I like a lot about it, if he is the one and wants to take the job," he said.
"I like the way his team plays football.
