England fans have turned on Lee Carsley after he continued to snub the national anthem in his first home game in charge.
Carsley was appointed interim manager after Gareth Southgate resigned earlier this summer but had not taken charge of a match until this weekend.
Before the Three Lions faced the Republic of Ireland, the former Birmingham star revealed he would not sing the national anthem.
Carsley had played 40 times for the Irish, despite being born in Birmingham, as he qualified through his grandparents.

But the England boss has continued to stay mute as God Save The King rang around Wembley, where the fans present gave it the respect it deserves.
And supporters are now growing tired of Carsley's silence, taking to social media to criticise the ex-midfielder.
One fan wrote: "So Lee Carsley will clap for Harry Kane getting 100 caps but refuses to sing our national anthem?"
Another put: "I don’t really care, Lee Carsley is ENGLISH, and should sing the National Anthem."
And this fan said: "LEE CARSLEY. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Sing the National Anthem."
GB News commentator Jacob Rees-Mogg was particularly scathing of the England coach prior to kick-off and insisted he should sing the national anthem before kick-off.
Speaking on GB News he said: “Sinn Fein MPs cannot take their seats in Parliament because they will not take an oath to the Crown.
“They do not accept the legitimacy of the constitutional settlement.
“Wanting to change it by democratic means is perfectly reasonable, and free speech must, of course, be upheld.

“The same principle applies to England football managers. They must support the nation whose team they seek to lead, even if they themselves are foreign.
“Singing the national anthem is a symbol of this, and if they will not accept the symbol, they should not hold the post.
“This applies to Lee Carsley, who needs to zone out of his Irish Republicanism and learn to sing God save the King.
“Otherwise, no one will believe he cares about the England team he wishes to lead."

Carsley is seen as the favourite to take the full-time job at England having been promoted from his role as coach of the Under-21s.
He won his first game in charge against the Republic of Ireland with Declan Rice and Jack Grealish both scoring, having played for the country in their younger days.
Eddie Howe and Graham Potter are other options being pondered by the FA while Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have also even been mentioned.
