Lauryn Goodman 'makes request to Kyle Walker' after bombshell news about Man City star emerged

Pep Guardiola revealed on Saturday that the Manchester City star had asked to leave the club, with the former Tottenham defender eyeing a move overseas.

Teams in Saudi Arabia have been linked, while Serie A giants AC Milan are eyeing a deal at a time when they're also pursuing Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

According to The Sun, Lauryn is also looking at leaving the UK behind in order to focus on her two children.

An insider also claims that she has asked Walker for permission to rent out her home in England given the City star is the owner.

“It’s been a turbulent time for Lauryn and she is keen to have a change of scenery, where she can focus on the children," a source is quoted as saying.

"She loves the idea of living somewhere sunny, like Dubai, temporarily.

“Because Kyle owns the property, she has to ask his permission to rent it out. She would need to do that in order to be able to rent a property abroad.

“She’s no longer close to her family, so feels she doesn’t have any ties to the UK right now, and has loved taking her children abroad on holiday to get away from everything.”

Walker and his wife, Annie, were on a break when Lauryn fell pregnant with their first child, Kairo, in 2019.

The City star then reconciled with his wife before the duo tied the knot in 2021.

However, Walker was forced to issue a grovelling apology last year after fathering a second child with Lauryn behind Annie's back.

It then emerged the couple were set to divorce.

Yet it was recently suggested that Annie was open to giving the marriage another go, having spent time with Walker and their four children over the festive period.

Meanwhile, Walker was absent on Saturday as City thumped Salford 8-0 in the FA Cup.

And Guardiola then dropped the bombshell that the veteran had asked to leave for a new challenge abroad, with the Spaniard saying: "Two days ago, Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career.

"In his [Walker's] mind, he would like to explore it, to go to another country, to play the last years [somewhere else] for many reasons.

"For that reason, I prefer playing other players whose mind is here."

Walker has been nothing short of outstanding for City since joining from Tottenham in 2017.

He has won six Premier League titles, while he was also part of the side that won the treble in 2023.

Walker was close to leaving City for Bayern Munich after that triumph but instead stayed put.
