Jurgen Klopp has made his first major decision as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer by dismissing RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose, a call that was reportedly made due to a 'souring relationship' between the pair.
The German coach was relieved of his duties over the weekend after nearly three years in charge.
This marks the first significant move of Klopp's tenure since joining Red Bull in January.
Rose's departure comes with Leipzig struggling on the periphery of the European places following a disappointing run of results.

After shocking the football world by announcing his Liverpool departure at the end of last season, Klopp initially remained coy about his future plans.
In October, Red Bull announced he would join the company to oversee all footballing matters across their international network of clubs.
His role includes advising Leipzig, Salzburg and the New York Red Bulls on coaching matters, playing philosophy and development.
Interestingly, Klopp and Rose share a professional history dating back to their time at Mainz.

Klopp signed Rose as a player during his managerial stint there, initially bringing him in on loan before making the deal permanent when the club earned promotion.
According to German outlet Bild, Klopp had initially been a staunch advocate for Rose at Leipzig.
This support reportedly put him at odds with fellow Red Bull chief Oliver Mintzlaff.
However, the relationship between the pair is said to have soured in recent weeks, with Klopp not happy with Leipzig's 'sporting development' under his old ally.
This dissatisfaction appears to have been the catalyst for the decision to part ways with the manager.
The deterioration in their relationship represents a significant shift from Klopp's initial support for Rose.
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
Klopp reportedly visited the Leipzig players prior to Rose's dismissal to introduce himself as they prepare for the final stages of the campaign.
With Rose's departure, Red Bull have moved quickly to appoint a temporary successor.
Zsolt Low will take charge on an interim basis, with Klopp said to be an admirer of the former Hungarian international.
Low brings valuable experience, having previously served as Thomas Tuchel's assistant during his time at Chelsea and PSG.

RB Leipzig currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga table with seven games remaining in the season.
Should the club miss out on a top-four finish, it would mark a significant setback for the ambitious German side.
This would be the first time since 2019 that Leipzig failed to qualify for the Champions League.
