The midfielder was furious after having a goal chalked off at the death

Jude Bellingham swore at the referee to earn his red card in Real Madrid's 2-2 draw with Valencia on Sunday, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

It was a chaotic match at the Mestalla as two of LaLiga's biggest clubs locked horns.

Valencia raced into a 2-0 lead after goals from Hugo Duro and Roman Yaremchuk.

But Real came roaring back, with Vinicius Jr netting a sensational brace to boost their hopes of LaLiga glory.

In the closing stages of the match, Bellingham thought he'd won the game with a thunderbolt header.

The England international was enraged, however, when it emerged the referee had blown the final whistle prior to the ball going in.

Real players surrounded the official, with Bellingham then shown a straight red card in the chaotic aftermath of the game.

And Ancelotti has now revealed Bellingham told the referee it was a 'f***ing goal' before he was given his marching orders.

"He didn’t insult the referee. He was respectful," said the Italian.

"He spoke in English and just said: 'It was a f***ing goal'."

Ancelotti also described the incident as 'unprecedented' and hit out at the decision to cancel Bellingham's dramatic late header.

"There isn't much to say. Something unprecedented happened," continued the former Chelsea and Everton boss.

"We had possession. The play should stop when Valencia have the ball.

"It's unprecedented. It's never happened to me."

Ancelotti did, however, do his best to put on a brave face by referring to the LaLiga table, with Real currently seven points clear of Girona.

"We'll look at the table and we'll sleep well," he said.

Meanwhile, Real have released a statement on the drama and claimed they deserved all three points, rather than the one they were forced to settle for.

"An unprecedented refereeing decision by Gil Manzano prevented Real Madrid from beating Valencia at Mestalla," the statement read.

"With the score at 2-2 and in the last play of the game, Brahim crossed into the box and Bellingham headed home to make it 3-2.
