Jude Bellingham scored the winner for England as they picked up all three points against Serbia.

Jude Bellingham showed his class in refusing to take all the credit despite scoring England's winner against Serbia in their Euro 2024 opening group game.

Despite being just 20 years of age, Bellingham has already established himself as one of the world's best talents and that was on full display in England's first game at the Euros.

England's No 10 grabbed the game's only goal inside 13 minutes with a thumping header after arriving late into the box.

He continued to dominate the midfield in the first half and was on another level to everybody else on the field.

His goal ended up being the difference for England as Serbia battled hard for an equaliser in the second half.

The Three Lions just about managed to hang on without creating too much threat going forward themselves.

England's star midfielder was in high spirits after the match and was cheekily asked what it feels like to be Bellingham.

"It's alright, it could be worse," he replied with a smile.

"Jude Bellingham is made up of amazing people.

"It's not just me. It's because I have such a great support network.

"My family, my friends and my team-mates - here and in Madrid - I'm just so fortunate and football's the easiest part."

Germany, Spain and Italy started the tournament with more commanding wins than England's victory over Serbia.

But Bellingham isn't worrying himself with what everyone else is doing so long as England are doing their job.

"They're a tough side," he added.

"Very robust, strong and big group of lads.

"It was important we prepared well for this game and we did.

"The staff got it right and we prepared very well all week so when it came to the game we knew the roles we had to do.

"We knew it was gonna be a tight game.

"I know there's been a lot of goals in the other games, but I think we try and keep to our own standards and try and play the opposition that is in front of us and not kind of the theme of the tournament.

"Important we got off to a start so positive inside the camp, but onto the next one."
