Jose Mourinho has been backed to replace Eddie Howe at Newcastle following his departure from Roma.
The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United manager was sacked by the Italian club on Tuesday morning and fans have given their reaction.
Mourinho spent two-and-a-half years at Roma, winning the Europa Conference League in his first season in charge.
He lost in the Europa League final last term where he famously waited for referee Anthony Taylor after the defeat to Sevilla.

Roma finished sixth in Serie A in the Portuguese's first two campaigns in charge.
But they currently sit ninth in the top flight, winless in their last four league matches.
A 3-1 defeat at AC Milan on Sunday proved to be the final straw for Roma chiefs.
But fans are predicting a quick return to management for the legendary boss.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is under pressure for his position.
The Magpies have lost their last four Premier League matches and sit 10th in the table, 11 points off the top four.
They also crashed out of Europe altogether with a heartbreaking defeat to Milan at St James' Park last month.
Fans can see Newcastle chiefs making an immediate call to Mourinho now he is available.
One fan wrote on X: "Jose to Newcastle. Nailed on."
While another put: "Jose Mourinho needs a club with a sugar daddy. Newcastle should come calling."
One other user posted: "Call me mental but Newcastle should try get Jose next."
And another wrote: "Jose is defo going to either newcastle or chelsea."
Mourinho hasn't managed in the Premier League since being sacked by Tottenham in April 2021.
It was the third English team he had managed after his time at Chelsea and United.
Some fans think the wheels could already be in motion for him to take over at Newcastle.

One Newcastle fan wants Mourinho at his club in any capacity.
They wrote: "I’d love Jose at Newcastle, not necessarily as a head coach/manager, just any other role we can give him #NUFC."
While one supporter believes Newcastle's Saudi owners will be keen to recruit Mourinho in some way or another.
The user wrote: "Saudi will want Jose Mourinho to manage either in their league or to succeed Howe at Newcastle, no doubt."

Roma chiefs Dan and Ryan Friedkin confirmed in a joint statement why they parted ways with Mourinho.
They said: "We thank Jose on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for the passion and commitment he has shown since his arrival in the Giallorossi.
"We will always have great memories of his stewardship, but we believe that, in the best interests of the Club, immediate change is necessary.
"We wish Jose and his collaborators the best for the future."
