Jesse Lingard in trouble with South Korean police after breaking little-known law
Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has landed in hot water with South Korean police after breaking a little-known law.
After being caught riding around town on an e-scooter without a helmet, South Korean authorities have slapped him with a hefty fine.
He was also found to be riding without a license while police only discovered this fact after pictures were uploaded onto Snapchat.
A post showed the Englishman on an e-scooter in what appeared to be the Apgujeong-dong area of Seoul.

However, it was quickly deleted - but not quick enough to escape the authorities.
Riders in South Korea are required by law to wear helmets at all times while on an e-scooter, as well as holding a valid driver's license.
South Korean outlet YTN reported that the police had been conducting a full investigation into the matter.
It has since been confirmed that Lingard would have to pay a fine of £106 for his offences.
Posting on Instagram, the 31-year-old admitted breaking the rules but insisted he did not know the law.

He said: "Obviously I was on an e-scooter yesterday, driving around for a couple of minutes on the e-scooter.
"I didn’t know the rules of wearing a helmet or having a license as well.
"In England, and probably in Europe as well, you can just pick up an e-bike or e-scooter off the street and just start riding it.

"To anyone visiting South Korea, obviously, you’ve got to check the rules. It can be dangerous.
"Safety first for everyone. Helmets on and obviously, I won’t do that again."
In another post, he added: "Sorry guys in my previous video I meant countries outside the UK have different rules for riding an e-scooter. Regardless, stay safe and know the rules."
