The 41-year-old was recently axed by the BBC

A spokesperson for Jermaine Jenas has said that the former footballer denies sending unsolicited messages to a junior BT Sport make-up artist after she made allegations against the 41-year-old.

Jenas was recently axed by the BBC for inappropriate behaviour, with the ex-England, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Tottenham and QPR star acknowledging that he had made mistakes.

Last week, a woman told the Daily Mail that Jenas had sent flirty WhatsApp messages after they met while he was working at the World Cup in Qatar.

And another woman has now made allegations against Jenas to the same publication.

The woman started shift working for BT Sport in 2017 and claims the 41-year-old soon sent her unsolicited sexual messages.

She said the former footballer bombarded her with messages about his fantasies, while also asking her to come to his dressing room so he could perform a sex act on her.

It's also alleged that Jenas sent her an unsolicited video showing his penis, too.

The woman in question says she made it clear to the former England midfielder that she had no interest in him as she was in a relationship.

She said she feared losing work if she came forward to complain but was left 'nervous' about working with Jenas.

He allegedly sent her a selfie with the caption: "Any chance of a snog to fill some time."

Discussing those messages, the woman said: "Soon after that message and the video I had to go in to do a touch up for him to go on-air.

"He whispered to me 'did you see my messages' and I just said 'yes', as in 'I'd seen them, not interested,' and just carried on working.

"That was it that day. Then the next day it must have been his birthday, and he texted me 'can I have a birthday kiss tonight please, our secret'.

'Then he sent me another one. After that I said 'Look, I'm in a relationship…I'm not interested."

The make-up artist said the messages became increasingly explicit over time, that Jenas told her he 'wanted' her and that he even offered to perform a sex act on her.

The woman told her boss at BT Sport, who was supportive. They reportedly did not, however, alert management at the channel.

"My boss just said 'they're like that, ignore him. When he comes into the room just walk out and someone else will do it [his make-up]," she continued.

"And I was so junior in my job I didn't question this.

"I was really nervous just to go into work. It was just really awkward [being in the vicinity of Jenas].

"He would do little things that made me feel uncomfortable. I'd notice he seemed to be looking down at my boobs for example.

"Over time I just stayed professional, it wasn't nice, you don't go to work to have to deal with that. He eventually stopped and didn't do it again."

The woman says that Jenas apologised for his behaviour a few years later.

A spokesperson for the presenter has not denied the authenticity of the messages - but rejects accusations they were unsolicited.

They also said that the former footballer was focusing on his family as he battles to save his marriage to his wife, Ellie Penfold.

"Jermaine denies that these messages were unsolicited and it is disappointing that it has taken seven years for these accusations to come to light," they said.

"Jermaine has already apologised for his past actions and is currently taking time to focus on his family."
