Jermaine Jenas was reportedly sacked 'very quickly' by the BBC after allegedly sending inappropriate texts to a female member of staff.
The 41-year-old denies any wrongdoing and has lawyers working on his behalf as he looks to clear his name.
Jenas has been a regular on the BBC, having appeared on programmes Match of the Day and The One Show.
Yet the former Tottenham and Newcastle star was axed by the broadcaster on Thursday after being accused of sending inappropriate texts to a female member of staff.

A source has told the Daily Mail that Jenas was 'sacked very quickly' after rumours about his conduct spread around the BBC.
They also describe the situation as a 'very sorry state of affairs'.
"It all came as a massive shock but his colleagues have now been told the news and he won't be back," the insider was quoted as saying.
"They were kept in the dark. They couldn't believe it when they found out.

"There were rumours going around about text messages to members of staff so the evidence was there and the BBC knew that they couldn't do anything else but terminate his employment.
"He was sacked very quickly; it's a sorry state of affairs."
Jenas, who also played for England during his career in football, was actually speaking live on talkSPORT when news of his sacking broke.
He insists there are two sides to every story and that he's unable to comment on the matter further.
"I can't talk about it right now," he said.
"I cant talk about those things [how I feel] right now. Like I said, There's two sides to this whole thing. My lawyers are going to be taking over from now on."
Jenas also added: "I'm not happy about this situation.
"I'm going to be speaking to my lawyers about it, is all I can say right now."

A female member of staff claimed she received unsolicited communications via text from Jenas, The Sun claim.
Others are now reportedly set to come forward, though the former midfielder has denied any wrongdoing.
Jenas is employed by talkSPORT on a freelance basis.
They reacted to his BBC sacking by saying: "We made a decision, with Jermaine, that he should continue to present the show."

Yet they were quick to insist there were no plans for Jenas to appear on the programme again any time soon.
"There are no plans for Jermaine to broadcast as a presenter on talkSPORT in the immediate future," they added.
