Jamie Carragher has launched a scathing attack on Marcus Rashford following the Manchester United star's controversial interview.
The £375,000-a-week forward declared he was ready for a 'new challenge' away from Old Trafford, just one day after being left out of United's derby victory over Manchester City.
Despite manager Ruben Amorim expressing his desire to keep the winger, it has been revealed that the club would consider selling Rashford for around £40m.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher criticised Rashford's decision to publicly express his desire to leave, arguing it has severely weakened United's negotiating position.

"I mean, that leaves the club in a really poor position... in terms of negotiating his exit at some stage," the former Liverpool defender said.
The timing of Rashford's comments has particularly irked Carragher, as potential buyers now know United have an unsettled player on their hands.
Carragher was particularly direct in his advice to the United forward about how he should have handled the situation.

"You don't come out with a statement like that. You don't, you keep your mouth shut. You battle and you hope that you got a little chance here," the Sky Sports pundit stated.
He pointed to Alejandro Garnacho's recent opportunity in the team as an example of what Rashford should have been focusing on.
"Rashford, that's what he should have been hoping for tonight, and then going short, what he can do on the pitch, not putting a statement out about that. It's time to move on," Carragher added.
The former Liverpool defender was clear that Rashford's public statement was the wrong approach for a player hoping to salvage his United career.
Carragher also dismissed suggestions that Rashford's previous goalscoring record made him an attractive prospect.
"People keep using his wages as a reason for there not being a market [for Rashford] and I get that," he said on Sky Sports.

The pundit was particularly unimpressed by Rashford's 30-goal season in 2022-23, stating: "People keep talking about 30 goals. Now, 30 goals is a really big figure. It's not out of this world."
Fellow Sky Sports analyst Jamie Redknapp echoed these concerns, focusing on Rashford's on-field demeanour.
"I think what would be worrying for for a club or an interest, would be his attitude on the pitch," Redknapp said.
"Now, we saw it last year at times when there'll be like times he just wasn't running and that, that's my biggest fear for him, somehow he's got to fall in love with football again."
Rashford will be hoping to start when United lock horns with Bournemouth on Sunday.
